Vacancy - Leisure Centre Operations Contractor

The fitness suite in the Community School of Auchterarder

We are pleased to say that ACSR member group Auchterarder & District Community Sports Hub SCIO (A&DCSH) is now recruiting for a leisure centre operations contractor to re-start the community sport and fitness facilities at the Community School of Auchterarder (known as The Sports Hub).

A&DCSH was established as a registered Scottish charity in October 2020 and aims to provide our community with a dedicated and well run sports facility that is available to all. 

Following the withdrawal of the previous operators due to budget cuts, the facility closed in the summer of 2019 but with the formation of a community working group (now the charity) the Sports Hub reopened in October 2019 for what was proving to be a successful trial period until the pandemic brought a premature halt to operations. 

The charity is now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated leisure centre contractor to work closely with the Trustees to reopen and run the Sports Hub on its behalf.   This role will be pivotal to the ongoing success of an important community resource and subject to reporting to the Trustee Board, you will have responsibility for all operational activities.

Initial activities will be aimed at the safe and successful reopening of the Hub with careful reference to ongoing Governmental coronavirus restrictions but this role also offers an exciting business opportunity to grow and shape the future of the Hub. 

Experience with business planning, budget management and sports development is desired.
