ACSR Awarded £50,000 Towards BMX Pump Track

ACSR is thrilled to confirm that our application to sportscotland for £50,000 towards the installation of a BMX Pump Track in Auchterarder Public Park has been successful.

The installation of a Pump Track within the park is a crucial element of our ambitious Park Re-Development Project - and the support of Scottish Cycling and sportscotland is hugely appreciated.

ACSR’s Development Manager, Tim Hart, commented: ““ACSR is delighted to receive the award from sportscotland's Cycling Facilities Fund towards the installation of a BMX Pump Track.  This funding will enable us to continue our ambitious plans to re-develop the main public park in Auchterarder – and, in so doing, to create an iconic and easily assessable park which all within our local community can enjoy using.”

Gemma Simpson, ACSR's Community Sport Hub Officer , also enthused "it's wonderful to end the year with the news that sportscotland's Cycling Facilities Fund is going to support the development of cycling in Auchterarder. ACSR is an ambitious Community Sport Hub and volunteers, supported by our Development Manager, have been working tirelessly on realising the funds for the park redevelopment project for a number of years now. It's going to be a very exciting 2022 with the opening of the improved play area, mountain bike skills trail and pump track!"
